The first exhibit you must see is The African Forest. This is a new addition that cost almost 40 million dollars. This part of the zoo is home to the giraffes, rhinos, and chimpanzees. There is a lovely restaurant that allows you to watch beautiful giraffes and zebras while you dine.

The Houston Zoo is home to one of the most beautiful Asian Elephant Habitat. There is a large pool that you can observe elephants splash around and sunbathe. You can watch zookeepers give elephants their bath and their breakfast. Remember that female and male zoos are kept separately for safety.

If you love birds the Fischer Bird Gardens are definitely one of the best exhibits in the world. You can see all sorts of tropical birds fly around while admiring the lovely rainforest landscaping. This is even a fun exhibit for children as you can play “I Spy” while looking.

The Children’s Zoo is the perfect place to visit if you have small children. There is a stunning butterfly pavilion and garden. There are some fun playgrounds that will allow your littles to get their energy out. Your children will also love the petting zoo where they can brush and pet goats and sheep.

Finally, the Kipp Aquarium is home to some breathtaking fresh and saltwater fish. You may even see eels, octopus, sharks, and jellyfish.
